Keepers often tell me that their leopard gecko has a terrible aim, and almost always misses their food. This can be caused by several things, however, I thought I’d show you have improved one of my leopard geckos, Minnie’s aim. She was born with a deformed eye, so has always needed a little help when hunting.

I think you can tell from the thumbnail that I am not a fan of Hikari’s ‘Leopa Gel’ food for leopard geckos. I was actually asked to try it with my own geckos and review it, but after looking into the ingredients I had to make a video on exactly why this isn’t a good choice of food for your gecko.

I made a little game for our scaly friends! Of course, as I said in the video, if your pet doesn't want to do this, or may injure itself doing this, stop the game. I was just curious to know how they react to different food - is it down to sight? sound? smell? Does the colour red affect anything?
